woots! been ages since i last post here. haha!since im feeling ever so freaking bored at home right now, decided to post something here.
First and foremost, one of us here will be celebrating her bdae in a few days time.HAppy advance Bdae AYN!! nanti aku wish kau lagi bile da sampai harinye.wooo!! *throw confettis in the air sampai langit, kuar outer space, reach the sun and terbakar* haha! part tu da merepek ah.
Secondly, i would like to bring up about certain issues that caught my attention. In this case, it's about JC life. I totally pity Dee n Fyra for having to mug soo hard for your promos. Yeah I know its an important exam, which determines where you stand and if you get to move on to 2nd year. By reading your blogs and hearing it from you guys, you guys sound so freaking stress up and keep mentioning about the fact that you don't have much time left and there's alot that needs to be done. If during the promos, you guys can go so kan-chiong, what more a levels. I think prolly you guys would tear yourself down. haha! Something which i don't want to see that happen to my girls. And oh, it also applies to my other mb grrls.
Now, i know exams is very important but that doesnt mean it should control our life right? Achieving good grades, get scholarships or your name in academic roll of honours, top in class. All this are what we all want to achieve in school, something which we can be proud of. Showing how well we can do. It is a good thing which in fact we can try our very best to achieve that. However, we should not let those things take over our lives. Our life should not revolve around school only. It would be a sad thing if getting good grades and topping class for every semester becomes our main priority because we would then forget the real purpose of school is to learn. What's the big deal of getting straight As if by the end of the day, you don't learn a thing.
It's a sad case that in Singapore, teachers have slowly turn students to be school-centred teens where they are only obsessed with good grades and topping class that they have lost the joy of learning. How school nowadays turn to be one big competitve arena where students vie for the top position and are willing to do whatever it takes to get themself there. Even if it means through underhand methods. No I'm not saying competition is bad, it is good actually, but it kinda create a certain animosity among students. Which is unhealthy.
What I'm trying to say that,It is the joy of learning and at the same time getting good grades that will give you the utmost satisfaction. That will then make your life a whole lot meaningful and fun definitely!
Of course, there are at one point of time we will be abit school-centred but keep it at minimal. There's more to life than just good grades. Just like what Sean Covey from his book 7 habits of highly effective teens mention; "Thank goodness our worth isn't measured by our GPA"
And OH OH OH!! Speaking of GPA, i just got back my 1st sem result. I got a gpa of 3.1. wooo! not bad for a first timer doing a whole new education concept. And it is soo above my target of getting 3.0 for 1st sem. I'm totally motivated to do even better for next semester and maybe get my name listed in Academic Roll of Honours where only the top 5% can get their names in there. haha! NAH! don't worry. i'm not being school-centred.
I think i have typed more than enough here. till then..*susu
ps: my birthday coming in 6 months time.HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
